As a South Asian woman, child of immigrants, Alberta-born, current Montr\u00e9al-er, her work explores the places and identities she\u2019s lived, a focus on hearth and home, a constant reverence for nature and its cycles, and a commitment to a \u201cfemme is not frail\u201d message. Neelam mixes historically domestic mediums like embroidery with watercolour, painting, drawing, collage, dried flowers, and more. Her mission is for Signatures patrons to nest in their homes and transform their spaces into sanctuaries with her one-of-a-kind, slow art.<br \/>\nNeelam has a degree in Drama and Art &#038; Design but is primarily a self-taught artist. She has spent the last couple of years on her emerging business journey. Signatures Ottawa would be her first time expanding into Ontario and participating in an event of this magnitude.
