Rachel Joy Jewelry

Handcrafted Jewelry made of wood, glass, stones, and shells.

I live in Kincardine, Ontario, on the shores of Lake Huron with my husband, our blue-heeler mix, Robbi, and our fluffy cat, Murphy. I’ve been designing and creating jewelry since I was a teenager in the mid-1990’s. I’ve been travelling all over Ontario selling my work at arts and crafts shows for more than 30 years, meeting customers from across the country and beyond, and being inspired by, and learning from my fellow makers. I started by making beads out of paper and clay and progessed to hammering wire, making glass beads (lamp-working) and dying and painting wooden shapes. I now offer light-weight, colourful earrings, necklaces and bracelets that have been described as upbeat and whisical. My designs are influenced by our beautiful Ontario landscape, good food, music and the company of family and friends. I still throughly enjoy making jewelry after all this time. I like to learn new techniques and my work continues to evolve. I look forward to many more years working in this satisfying trade.
