Established more than 3 decades ago the company conrinues to produce locally made and environmentally friendly clothing and accessories.
After studying costume design and relocating from rural Nova Scotia to Ontario, Jannis began her design career designing for known musicians and performers. Theatrical design followed involving costume work for theatre and dance with fashion design completing the design circle. Private custom work has continued to be a large part of the creative process.
Love of the work and love of textiles compete for constant sources of inspiration. From inception OliO was built on natural fibers, linen, cotton silk and blends with a graduation to Oeko Tex Certified, organic and repurposed that allow the brand to further represent our vision of creative design while enhancing what is generally thought of when environmentally friendly clothing design is the consideration.
OliO garments have been sold in galleries, retail shops and trade shows across Canada and the US and acquired by people of influence around the world.
