Carmen- I was born in Romania were I studied and work as aeronautical engineer. I’ve lived in 10 countries and now my home is Georgetown.
Ive been sewing since 5 years old, I have made whatever I needed or wanted. I’m unconventional, inventive and original: a mind of an engineer, soul of an artist.
Upcycle is ..common sense!
Making a bag from my late father’s jacket was the beginning of 14years of transforming tweed men jackets/coats into shoulder bags. My idea was recognized by RELOVED magazine who offer me the opportunity to make a tutorial for their readers. Then I knew that my idea was one of the best in the world in upcycling and crafting!
Each piece of my work is unique! This way work is fun!
I love music, dancing, reading, nature, fashion and quality fabric. My best award is the every day passion for my work and life. I’m grateful for this beautiful Earth, for the larger Universe of my mind and heart that I have thanks to my background.
