Bridget McKay is the sole creative behind Bee by Design. Having studied textile arts since High School in Scotland, Bee by Design began in the Fall of 2016. What started off as a small collection of pouches, made for a local art gallery artisan market, has grown into a distinctive collection of cork bags and accessories.
Bridget prides herself on designing all her own products and sews them in small batches in her home studio in Campbellville, Ont. Choosing her materials mindfully, she is committed to making her products as natural and sustainable as possible. Her favourite part of the process is mixing and matching the various prints and colours, thus creating her own unique style. Bridget’s goal is to create bags that are functional, stylish and comfortable to wear, and she loves nothing more than to work with her customers to style and fit the right bag to their needs.
Bridget is passionate about her work and being part of, and supporting, the maker and small business community.
